The Streif is considered the most spectacular ski run in the world and will require the participants to tackle almost everything. Jumps up to 80m, steep slopes up to 85% gradient, speeds up to 140 km/hr, 860 meters height difference from the starting gate (1665m) to the finish (805m). A total length of 3312 metres at more than average speed of 103 km/h.
Our very own ambassador Erik Guay (World Downhill Champion 2011) says: "I think, if you win that course you can really say you are the best skier in the world. It's a testament to how tough this course really is." Take a look at the video below with Erik on one of his practice runs.
